128Mb Memory Card
As file sizes for prints get bigger, the more memory required to process them. As the printer starts running out of memory, you may get warnings on the front panel display. Other indications are parts of the print being missed out, or not in the correct place.
If this is happening, then upgrading your memory should fix this. We provide fitting instructions for this simple procedure that almost anyone can carry out.
On a DesignJet 500, you will require to have installed the optional HP/GL2 card. This comes with an extra 16MB memory, along with the memory expansion slot. On the DesignJet 800, the memory card expansion slot is on the standard formatter board. These slots accept up to 128MB cards.
