C3195-60009 Bail Stepper Motor

Most of the original HP DesignJet plotters have a bail arm system to keep the tension in place on the paper or media. When the paper is loaded into the plotter, the bail arm raises clear of the path the paper takes. It then lowers once it has passed under it, and applies the tension via the numerous starwheels attached to the lower side pressing against the overdrive rollers underneath.

On most DesignJets with this system, the bail arm is raised and lowered mechanically, through pulleys and gears. However, on the models listed below, the bail arm is raised and lowered by a stepper motor.

Problems arise when the windings on the motor short out. At best, this will mean the bail arm will not raise/lower. At worst, it can also damage the main electronics module.

Fitting instructions are included for this part.

This part is for the following HP DesignJet printers:

DesignJet 700
DesignJet 750C
DesignJet 755CM
DesignJet 750C Plus
DesignJet 755CM Plus
